The Charlottenburg project is located near Berlin's Tegel Airport.  This area originally was a place where people could have gardens and a small cabin to spend the weekend. It was never intended to become permanent housing, but it is now a community with full time residents living in nice homes (garden homes) on garden property.

Most of the vacuum main was installed along the narrow pathways (photo).   There are 1,900 connections on this vacuum system.
